Create your account
Open the dashboard and choose how you want to sign in. Both paths give you a full account; they differ in who holds the key.
Option 1: email
Enter your email address and confirm the six-digit code you receive. You can also continue with Google. That is all: an embedded account is provisioned for you behind the scenes, and you never touch a key or a seed phrase.
Use this if you want the shortest possible path, or if the people you onboard should not have to think about keys.
Option 2: Prism Key
A Prism Key is a private key that stays with you. On the register page:
- Click Create one with a Prism Key.
- The app generates a key in your browser. Download the key file and store it somewhere safe; it is the only copy.
- Choose a password. The key is encrypted with it before being stored locally, so unlocking on this device only takes the password.
To sign in on another device, import the key file and set a password again.
Use this if you want self-custody from day one. Nobody can recover a lost Prism Key, including DataPrism, so treat the file like a master password.
Option 3: use an existing account
If you already use a browser account such as MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet, you can connect it directly from the login page. If your account is on an unsupported network, the app will ask it to switch.
Next step: get tokens.
